Tips for Joining Cold-Formed Steel Wall Panels to Concrete Flooring Systems

Topics

Cold-formed steel framing and panels are often used on building projects in coordination with other materials such as composite or hollowcore concrete floor systems.

When these other materials are uneven or cambered but still need to be connected to straight steel panels, it can lead to inconsistencies and gaps between the two materials and create the need for costly adjustments after installation, both in terms of project cost and time.

This article published by Construction Superintendent addresses ways to anticipate and avoid these issues to complete tasks on time and on budget when working with cold-formed steel framing along with other construction materials.
