On one Midwest hotel, builder’s risk premiums dropped from roughly $450,000 to about $92,000 when switching from wood framing to CFS. The savings can also carry into property insurance. Read More

Cold-Formed Steel Framing Passes 10-Story Earthquake Challenge in Landmark Tests

The 10-story, 100-foot building was subjected to 18 earthquake simulations, including replicas of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, in an effort to explore the potential for increasing height limits on CFS buildings in seismic zones. Read More
